My second sculpey project.

I'm a big fan of H.P.Lovecrafts works, and figured it'd be fairly easy to create. I was maybe only half right.

The pot (Yeah, it's not a cup) actually was some a container some kind of chocolate mousse dessert came in.

Gloss Blue,black, and green, with a few red speckles of spraypaint, and a coating of clear gloss paint to keep the thing looking wet n slimy. I think it looks better in real life, for some reason I can't get a decent pic of this!

Even greater than the first one I saw.

Lovecraft's universe is crazy, and your work could definitely make me think about it if I saw it in a corner of my place.

I love how it looks so shiney and glossy and that the deep greeny blue tentactles (woops, almost callled them testicles there for a sec...) look like they're almost translucent, because they look kind of glass like. It's very neeeeat in a way I can't really fully describe.

they big wquestion is; where does a cuppa-cthulu live? does it lurk around as a paperweight waiting to scare people?

(should point somehting out, they have a brand of cuppa soups and that's what this makes me think of, I keep thinking that you should have one made in a coffee mug and a soup bowl... just to scare people more... maybe find a soup container for it... the perfect halloween themed decoration!)

I certainly want to investigate the idea more. I've tried a test tube, but didn't get it right!

As to the shinyness, thats what half a can of gloss clear spraypaint does! ><

oooh, gloss spray-paint! that sounds so exciting! and the test tube idea sounds absolutely adorable! it would be nice to see what a glass artist would be able to do with an idea like that (with the cthullu of glass as well) because glass blowers can make some pretty mind bogglingly nifty things too!

I love how the shadow in the back looks like some terrifying monster complete with eyes. :D
